Everyone is encouraged to attend Next Wave 2008! -- Think of this conference as going to Reefkeeping College for a day. Five speakers are being flown in to instruct attendees on successful saltwater care. After each presentation, which will be in the form of slides, PowerPoint, or video, attendees can ask questions from the speakers about the subject being discussed. Don't miss your chance to gain knowledge that will last you a lifetime!

Please note that this year there will be a dress code requirement. The Rolling Hills Country Club asks that everyone wear pants or jeans, with no holes or rips. Collared shirts are preferred, but if you do choose to wear a t-shirt, it should be nice. NO ball caps. Sorry guys.

You have the option to pay registration with or without lunch, and coffee, tea, and water will be available all day. Parking is free. The day will end with our famous raffle, and we are sure you won't want to miss that! Raffle tickets will be for sale during the lunch session and before the raffle.

This year we will be drawing a special ticket for a free trip to MACNA XX (see website for details.) We are accepting your reservations now. Primary DFWMAS members are eligible for one free lunch. Family members must pay $10 for their lunch. If you wait, the prices will increase as follows: Dec. 1st through Dec 31st: $45 with or without meal for DFWMAS members; $55 with meal and $45 without meal for non-members. Marine Aquarium Expo (MAX) - April 5 - 6, 2008

Marine Aquarium Expo (MAX), sponsored by Reef Hobbyist Magazine, is southern California’s premier indoor consumer tradeshow, bringing together manufacturers, retailers and saltwater enthusiasts from all over the nation into one giant, centralized location. More than 100 booths fill 22,000 square feet of exhibitor floor space plus another 7,000 sq. ft. of covered courtyard to accommodate speakers, raffle drawings and various workshops. MAX is the perfect venue to see the latest innovative products and offerings as well as the most progressive enterprises in the marine aquarium business!

This greatly enhances the space available inside Building #12 for commerce. In other words: More room for everyone!

MACNA XX - September 5-7, 2008

Presented by the Atlanta Reef Club (ARC) & MASNA, MACNA XX is the premier aquarium conference focused on the hobbyist and the industry that serves it. MACNA is the largest hobbyist marine conference in North America. Vendors with new aquarium products will often wait until MACNA to release their products into the hobby. Hobbyists will have a chance to meet and mingle with professionals in the hobby like Eric Borneman and Anthony Calfo. This is your chance to be at a conference with hundreds of other people just as obsessed with aquariums as you are!

The Westin Peachtree Plaza has been selected as the host hotel for this event. It is the tallest hotel in the western hemisphere.
