It is a well established fact that the profiLux range of controllers when hooked up and Aquarium illumination LED system massively unlocks the lamps lighting potential and functions, no other controller can come close to the features ProfiLux can provide this amazing LED system. Next generation of skimmers have arrived

We are pleased to be able to show you the very first photos of the new Fauna Marin skimmers.

The New FM skimmers are 100% serviceable, all parts are removable for cleaning, we beleive this to be a first at such serviceability.

The skimmers are powered by Aqua Bee pumps (No Chinese rubbish here) fitted with modified mesh wheels, but a series of different wheel styles will be available for people to choose what they prefer the most.

Hmmm, water chemistry and salt mixes

I've been having a compelling conversation with Randy about my high Magnesium and low Alkalinity issues. Check out the thread for background details: [URL=""]Water parameters and dosing[/URL].

In short, I'm using the old bag of salt to make 5 gallons of water. I'll test the parameters and report back. I'm hoping the the salt shows that it is deficient in Magnesium and high in Alkalinity. If so, I'll use this salt...

Rant for the day

Red slime is all over my pretty rock! Wah wah wah.

I have hair alage! Wah wah wah.

If these people would do more reading and learning and less time crying about these things then they wouldn't be bothering everyone constantly because they would have known what to expect from the start of reefing.

Here's another good one.

My tank is one week old but every fish and coral I put...
