Start of a system

Special thanks to; PCI Scott, Cody "Bean", and Kurt.

I haven't posted for a long while because YouTube requires WIFI. Which I haven't had since December.

Here is the start of the project

More to come. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks. This video was kinda old so I've picked up the tank and I've started cutting the material for the stand. It's still a long ways to go though.

Adam. Sorry your having issues. I will never trust my Apex to control such vital equipment. The Apex and Neptune pumps are just not reliable enough. While they are intended to work with each other. Using them together just doubles the likely hood of a major failure. Can you power the return pump and or the other pumps with an external power supply?
At one point I wanted an Apex controlled pump, now I would not consider controlling my main pump by my Apex if a comparable one was given to me! I love my Aquacontroller 2, Jr, 3 and 3 Pro asi trusted them 100%. I am getting to the point I do not trust my Apex at all!

After giving it a little more thought, it would probably be a good idea to inspect your pumps to make sure there is nothing causing them to work harder like some debris, algae, snail or something in them. That may cause them to work harder drawing more current, causing your problem. Good luck!

Great point, itís always great to eliminate single point failures. Iím running two returns so one is an AC ďdumbĒ pump that always stays on same with one of the heaters that is set to 72F. So when I wrote ďcrashĒ itís an exaggeration but still wish it was working as designed.

This is the first issue Iíve had with the new Apex. My Apex classic always worked flawlessly...

This is the hood with the doors open. Shows the room I have to work with. Not to bad. I would have made it 1-2 inch taller in hind sight.
IMG_9710.jpg

This is with the doors closed. I wanted a plane shinny look so it didnít distract from the tank.

Youíll have to bring the wife and kid over for a dinner some time. Or I need to come over to your house so I can steal some of you ideas . Maybe even a frag.

Yep they all survived. They were closed for a week. Think the 3% hydrogen peroxide was a bit much. OPPS! Was getting ready to put a video together.

Sorry no video trying to rid the tank I got ich from the frags OR the quarantined fish werenít as health as I expected. IDK. Sucks but either way I have to try and fix is

1. Setup hospital tanks with copper
2. Catch fish.... somewhere between hard and impossible.
3. Put large UV on system to maybe SLOW? The process giving me time to catch/trap all the fish.
4. Let tank lay fallow for 6-8weeks

This sucks spent extra to buy QT fish and still end up $h!t creek.
