250's on a 75 and height?

Are 2 250watt metal halides enough light to keep a few SPS corals in a 75gallon tank if they were up high. Also how far from the surface of the water should the lights sit?

Yeah for sure. Thats plenty. I have a 75g with 175W halides and I keep SPS towards the top just fine.

5 inches above surface. Mounting the lamps lower will cause light to "leak" out of the upper portion of the front and rear glass instead of being reflected back into the tank.
