LFS in So Cal that carries really nice live rock?
Hey guys, I'm driving down next weekend to pick up my tank from Tom at Socaltropical fish. Does anyone know which stores carry really nice live rock? I paid a visit to PTF a few weeks ago and they didn't have much of a selection. I believe Tom stated he didn't have much right now as well.

I prefer to have a LFS order me a box. I'm not much into pre-cured rock or some that was given to the store when they tore down their tank.

contact scallop king and charlie28 both have mature seeded live rock with good color for lot cheaper and better quality than a store would have. try them out, you wont be disappointed.

I beleive Marine Depot is carrying Marco Rock. Not live but some of the best looking rock I have seen in person. you can pick up via will call.

Ahh, I forgot about that option, Greg. I may do a mixture of Marco and another type of live rock. Thanks again guys for the heads up.

Ocean Blue has some really nice macro looking type of rock not macro but super pourus,(sp?)and light wieght. I think it was roughly 3$ a lb. He had some sweet flat shelf pieces as well.

I know AoA has some Vanuatu and Aranjra(dont know the spelling) from sm to xxlg peices. lots of shelf rock big peices as well. Prolly wont be as cheap as here online. But getting some really nice flat shelf rock is hard to do. got some nice peices a few weeks ago for my 350, was 6.50 per pound
